The Galloway Arms Hotel began in 1750 with it's original builder and founder Alexander Stewart, Lord Garlies the 6th Earl of Galloway. Originally a Coaching Inn the hotel now boasts 18 modern bedrooms, two bars and a restaurant. The hotel sits in the middle of Newton Stewart a quiet rural town in the heart of Galloway. The hotel has private parking and a drive in garage as well a secluded garden at the rear.All rooms are ensuite, have central heating, tea and cofffee making facilities and colour TV. There is a private residents lounge on the first floor showing Sky Sports as well as live football and other sports in our new and very modern Public Bar.Our new Earls Room lounge offers a quieter alternative. Directions

From A75 take either entrance to Newton Stewart. Hotel is is the middle of the main street opposite the town steeple and clock.From A714 from Girvan, follw the road until you see the town hall clock and steeple. The hotel is direclty across the road. The hotel garage and car park is down Victoria Lane at the side of the hotel.
